is it concidered a safe practice to clean a proctor silex coffee maker with tilex?

and comet?? our health care is a tilex finatic,she cleans everything and anything with tilex,i say NO,someday shes going top sicke either me or my mentally impaired 97 year old father.im sorry if this is in the wrong catigory,excuse my error.

Do you mean the inside of the coffee maker? I would say no, although I guess it should be fine for wiping down the exterior. For cleaning a coffee maker’s innards, just make a vinegar solution (10% vinegar, then top up with water) and let that run through using the machine’s regular cycle (except without the coffee, of course). Then do another couple of cycles with just clean, fresh water to rinse.
