how do convection ovens cook?

I am thinking about purchasing a convection oven, help me know what i am in, for how do they work?
i have always had a big black & decker toaster oven broiler combo. can’t find one. may I have some feed back about convection toaster ovens?

A convection oven is basically the same as a conventional oven…only it has fans in it and the hot air is circulated around the food letting it cook a little faster than the conventional oven. The only time there is ever a problem, that I am aware of, is if what you have in the oven, say meringues for instance, is really light,…the fan could blow them out of shape. I have a conventional oven at home but use a convection oven at work.
