Make Room For Small Appliance Storage
There are many small appliances available today. Many of them are designed to make life easier. The take many menial tasks and complete those tasks for us so that we do not have to spend hours in the kitchen to prepare our meals. Take a few minutes to add the ingredients, press the button and when time is up, bread is freshly baked.
The problem with many of the small appliances is that we often do not have any place to store them. They take too much space if left on the counter, but in the lower cabinets, they are not accessible.
For a small appliance to be useful, it must be easily accessible. In the past builders have tried to use appliance garages to solve the problem, but with all the appliances in the normal kitchen there is not room in the appliance garage for the bread machine, the Black Decker food processor, the stand mixer, the Delonghi oven, the rotisserie oven and all the other appliances.
A better option is to have a tall cabinet installed next to the refrigerator with shelves for each appliance. Then you will know exactly where to go when you need the appliance and where to store the appliance when you are finished with it.
The appliance and all its accessories should be stored together for easy access. Once the cubbies are filled, you can close the doors for storage.
The beauty of having the appliance storage cabinet is that you are able to keep your counter free of the appliances when they are not in use. Freeing up counter space gives you the room to work in your kitchen. You will have room for preparing food as well as for cleanup. In addition, the doors to the cabinet can help to take away the cluttered look that too many appliances on the counter can give a kitchen.
If you are not up for remodeling the kitchen at this time consider adding a home storage cabinet to the room. These inexpensive cabinets are available in many home improvement stores and often the perfect size for storing all the small kitchen appliances.
Small appliances can make your life much easier if you have a good place for storage. Do not let these labor saving devices make a job more difficult by improper storage.
