What should i do to make my bar look more like a bar?
I’ll make this as short as possible. I have a completed basement converted into a bar, A 6ft Bar (not a walk behind), Wood paneling floors, Projector TV, 2 Bar tables and their chairs, an actual beer refrigerator from a bar, a real refrigerator, and a freezer(for meat, frozen pizzas, and anything else), a tabletop pac-man, and finally my newest addition a bathroom(sink and toilet). Now my friends don’t care and i’m getting as little help from them as possible, but when i sell this house i want the basement to actually pass for a bar. (i live in a college town) when ya’ll go into a bar what are the biggest distinguishing features? The only thing i can think of left is lighting as i just have normal lights. please help me turn this into a working bar.
I built a similar space with my dad in our old home. What made it really look like a bar was the wood paneling half-way up the walls with a chair rail large enough to be used for drinks. I am not talking about the crappy veneer sheets but actual wood framed out every couple of feet.
