18 Cu Ft Refrigerator
Looking for a quiet refrigerator?
I just bought a new refrigerator to replace my old one that had over 20 years. I bought this 18 Cu. Ft. FRT18G6J from Frigidaire and it is more noisy than my old one !
I had it since last week and tomorrow i’m going back to the store to exchange it ! When it starts it litterally wakes me up at night ! I cant believe they sell crap like that.
Anyone can recommend a brand for QUIET, 18 Cu. Ft. refrigerator ?
Hi, I used to sell appliances at sears and know the Frigidaire top freezer you speak of.
Frigidaire are probably at the lower end of the market in that most of the parts are made in china and assembled in Mexico , so their compressors are quite noisy.
I would go for a better made more quite fridge like a Whirlpool or a Kenmore. Better build quality and better components equals a better performing fridge. Also make sure you have adequate ventilation space and area is kept clean free from dust, pet hair etc all around your fridge.
